LDS RCS – ITI Fellow
Jack Richardson qualified in 1962 and began using implants in 1972. On its introduction into the UK in 1987, he embraced the Straumann® Dental Implant System, which he now uses exclusively in his practice, and has placed and prosthetically reconstructed several thousand implants. In 1990 he began using guided bone regeneration and bone grafting techniques, utilising various methods and materials.
He has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally, and has run seminars at all levels from basic to advanced. Although he has mentored on an informal basis since 1988, he has completed Mentor Courses at both Straumann UK and the University of Manchester, and is a Mentor for both Straumann and the ADI.
Over the years he has derived great pleasure from helping less experienced colleagues and welcomes the opportunity to do this on a more formal basis. He firmly believes that an implant case should be seen as a whole entity, and is therefore interested in all aspects of this from planning through implant placement and prosthetic reconstruction, to maintenance.
